You only need to activate your online account one time. After you have done that successfully, you have already supplied us with your User Name/Login ID (email address) and created a password. Simply login with that email address and password and you should have access to your online account. What will I receive when I subscribe? You will receive all of the issues published to date, audio CD's, transcripts, a vinyl storage album/ring binder, a full set of 12 Post-test Response Forms (numbered 1-12), and 12 preaddressed return envelopes. After receipt of this initial shipment, you will receive the balance of the subscription on a monthly basis until you have a complete volume year of 12 issues. Is there an additional charge for credits? There is no additional charge for credits. This has already been included within your subscription fee. How do I get AMA Category 1 credits? In order to accrue AMA Category 1 credits, you would need to participate in the testing phase of the UPDATE series. Simply answer the 12 multiple-choice questions that appear on the last page of the printed transcript. For your convenience, you can login and enter your test answers online (see instructions below), or you can fill in your answers on your personalized post-test response form (No special pen or pencil is required). Slip the form into the preaddressed envelope and mail. Credits earned are entered into your personal ACOG records automatically (if you are a Fellow in any category). How do I take a test online? Log into our web site with your user ID (e-mail address) and password. You can take a test online for a specific issue for the volume you are registered for. Go to either the Current Volume or back vols/issues link on the navigation bar. Click on the issue title that you wish to access. A detailed page of that title will be displayed. Click on the desired link: "Take Test Now" and you can take this test. When you are done, click on the link at the bottom of the page: "Save Answers Now". You will then be shown which answers were correct and incorrect along with your score. You may retake the test for the same issue as many times as you like on that same day by clicking on the link: "Repeat Test". When you are satisfied with your results, click on the link: "See Answer Details". You will then be shown your correct and incorrect answers again, as well as be given the correct answer for your incorrect answers and the page and paragraph location within the transcript where the correct answer was derived from. How do I download the audio and transcript? Log into our web site with your user ID (e-mail address) and password. You can download an MP3 of the audio or a PDF of the transcript for a specific issue for the volume you are registered for. Go to either current volume or back vols/issues link on the navigation bar. Click on the issue title that you wish to access. A detailed page of that title will be displayed. Click on the desired link: "Download Audio File" or "Download PDF File". Click "Save to Disk" to save the file on your computer and click "OK". Navigate to where you want to save this file and then click "Save". After the file completes the download, click on that file to open it. Once the file is on your computer, you may import it on to your portable device if desired. Do I still need to mail in my Post-Test Response Form if I have entered my test online? No. It is not necessary to mail in your test card. When do the tests expire for credit? Each issue is valid for Category 1 credit for up to 3 years from its date of publication. In the "Search" window, type the volume number of the previous volume year you desire, followed by a hyphen (ie, 31-) and then press the "enter" or "return" key and a new page will be displayed with all issues that have 31- as part of its title. Click on the issue for which you wish to download or take the test. Who chooses the topics? The Editor-in-Chief, Robert J. Sokol, MD and the College's selected editorial advisory board, chooses the topics. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Questions answered incorrectly will be marked with the correct response, and a reference to the transcript page and numbered paragraph that contains the relevant portion of the discussion will be included.
